You’ll oversee a large-scale receiving and warehouse operation supporting one of Ottawa South’s major Canadian Tire retail locations, with responsibility for merchandise flow, receiving, storage, replenishment and a high-volume logistics team.

Canadian Tire Bank & Heron is looking for an organized, energetic and results-driven

Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse and merchandise-flow operations.

 

This is an important Management Team position for someone who knows how to lead people, organize a fast-moving operation and make sure merchandise moves safely and efficiently from the receiving door to the sales floor.

MORE THAN MANAGING A WAREHOUSE

Our Logistics Manager plays a key role in the overall performance of the store.

You will work closely with the Dealer/Owner, General Manager and Department Managers

while leading the warehouse and fill teams. Your responsibility is simple:

Make sure the right product gets to the right place, safely, accurately and on time.

You'll lead the operation responsible for receiving, verifying, storing and moving merchandise throughout the store while maintaining a clean, organized and productive warehouse.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

Warehouse & Logistics Operations

• Lead the safe and efficient receiving, storage and movement of
• Ensure products move efficiently from incoming trucks to the warehouse and retail sales
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-maintained
• Plan and manage daily and weekly warehouse
• Coordinate and execute seasonal merchandise
• Maintain accurate records for shortages, overages, damages, claims and
• Help manage recycling, waste removal and general warehouse/building
• Operate and maintain computerized inventory scanning and product-location
• Identify operational issues and take action quickly to keep merchandise

Team Leadership

• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse and fill

THIS IS A HANDS-ON MANAGEMENT ROLE

This is not a desk-only position.

The Logistics Manager regularly works alongside the team and should be comfortable with the physical requirements of a busy warehouse environment, including:

As a member of the store's Management Team, flexibility is required.

The position includes participation in the Management Team's rotating weekend schedule, including a minimum of every second weekend.
